For Those Who Will Receive an Initial Examination

Overview of the Procedures up to Your Examination

Introduction (Referral and Reservation System)
Please bring your letter of referral from another hospital. You will not need to pay an elective treatment fee if you have a letter of referral. This allows you to reduce the expenses of your initial examination. You can also make a reservation for your initial examination with a referral. This means you will not have to wait for as long as those without a reservation. Please make sure to use the referral and reservation system.

Overview of Initial Examination Reservations

Overview of Telephone Reservations for Patients with a Letter of Referral

You can make a reservation for your initial examination directly by telephone if you have a letter of referral (addressed to our hospital in principle) from a medical institution in the region. Please telephone the Community Medical Cooperation Section to make a reservation. You may have to wait a long time if you do not have a reservation even if you have a letter of referral. (*Please ask your medical institution to contact the Department of Radiology in the hospital to reserve a CT, MR, RI or bone density examination.)

Visiting the Hospital

If you would like to receive treatment or an examination for an illness or injury at the hospital, please consult with your family doctor at your primary care institution where you are currently being treated. Please then come to the hospital with a letter of referral.

What Is a Family Doctor?

A family doctor is a doctor in a clinic or office that has been opened on an individual basis. It is a medical institution that provides detailed medical care familiar to you. Your family doctor provides detailed explanations about symptoms and treatments in regular examinations. He or she will also offer health consultations, provide various health, medical and welfare services, and refer you to appropriate specialists, hospitals and clinics as necessary. We proactively cooperate with family doctors in the region. As a result, 637 doctors in 403 medical institutions are registered with us. We will continue to work with the cooperation of doctors in clinics so that we can improve the quality of medical care in the region in the future. We recommend you have a family doctor who can provide medical care familiar to you with consultations on illnesses.
